Burj Al Arab Jumeirah

Pre-employment evening visit to the Al Muntaha Restaurant on the 27th floor of this unique architectural resort hotel, Wednesday 7th March 2007, 19:30 PM.

The 7* Burj Al Arab is Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts 'Flagship' 202 all-Suite property in Dubai and Worldwide.

The 'Compromise and Complacency' as observed to the visual Work Environments and the guest service etiquette of the Personnel:

- The Burj Al Arab guest elevators from the foyer ground floor level, 'did not' accommodate exterior smooth access 'guest service hosts' ?

- Again, surprisingly for an establishment designated 7* and the 'Best Hotel in the World', the interior of the guest elevators 'did not' provide smooth access 'guest service hosts' ?

- Extensive 'fingerprint and rub marks' permeates upon the elevator button control panel ?

- Upon being greeted by Miriam, the on duty hostess to the Al Muntaha Restaurant, I noticed that her uniform attire was 'missing' one of the visual 'decorative tassels' ?

- The waiter serving my table in Al Muntaha, upon finishing my main course, 'did not' crumb-down the table, or take away the table salt and pepper cruets. The cruets were left on the table during the dessert course. Danny the waiter on duty, was employed by Jumeirah as a member of the Burj Al Arab 'opening team' in 1999 ?

- 20:45 PM after dinner in the Sky View Bar, the bartender on duty is 'not familiar' on how to make a simple traditional Irish hot whiskey (or hot toddy) ?

- 21:17 PM in the ambience of the mosaic atrium restaurant Sahn Eddar, whilst enjoying an arabesque coffee I request a cigar. The Supervisor Khalid presents to me the cigar box, this is covered visually in 'fingerprint marks' ? Upon opening the box, the selection of cigars is extremely poor, the contents of which shows a total selection of only 7 cigars ?

The Executive Assistant Manager of Food and Beverage at the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, Mr Ammar Hilal is informed on Saturday 10th March 2007, 09:00 AM.
